An E-Zine of Poetic Variety
Muse Cafe Quarterly
Letter From The Editor
Dear Reader,

For me, summertime has always been a season of rebirthing.
Besides the obvious (birds singing, flowers in full bloom, sunny
weather), I have always viewed this time of year as a season for new
beginnings and taking chances.  So, that’s exactly what I did with this
magazine.  I woke up one morning, saw summer outside my window,
turned my laptop on and began surfing the net (I was particularly
searching for places that might be interested in publishing my poetry).  I
was perusing blogs and websites abound, and was overwhelmed by the
amount of talent from seemingly unexposed writers.  Face it, the
internet, (the world) is full of undiscovered talent
. Unpublished and
unrecognized poets, artists, and writers a
re growing exponentially, and
for a while I was one of those writers until online ezines, journals, and
small press gave me a chance to paint the world with my pen.  Though I’
m far from famous, at least now I know people read what I have to say.

As a writer, I feel that poets/writers/artists never exactly ‘master’ the
skill, they just continue to grow.  And flourish.  So, that is my wish for
this small online magazine.  In creating this web space I hope to give
other writers an outlet for publication, a way to get their foot in the door,
a magazine/website where they can network through the blog/zine
links.  A place where they can see the poetry and art of fellow writers
and artists.  This is a magazine created to inspire, it was created out of
inspiration given to me by the works I  have viewed of others.  That is
the true beauty of art/writing, in essence, it is an inspiration.

Needless to say, I am extremely proud of the Premiere Issue and
am even more proud of my contributing writers and artists.  The lovely
Ellyn Maybe was gracious enough to offer the presence of her award-
winning poetry as my Showcased Poet.  Named as one of the top poets
to watch in 2000 by Readers Digest, and rightly so.  You can’t help but
fall in love and be awed by her writing.  Also included is the captivating
digital art of Noel Bebee and a full interview that offers much insight
into the life and mind of an artist.  There are also several new faces to
the writing world and I am so happy to grab them up first.  I threw a few
of my own unpublished pieces in there as well.  This issue proves to be
an awesome spin-off to what I hope will be an ezine that lasts for a long
while.

So, everyone relax, grab a cup of coffee, and let the Muse Café
entertain you for a sit.

Editor,

P.S.- I want to personally say ‘thank you” to my contributors for their
kindness in sharing their work with the magazine.   I appreciate your
generosity in aiding me to help this magazine find it’s rightful place, and
for making it what it has become thus far.
