Confessional poet, Stacy Lynn
Mar was born in February of
1982 and raised in the
beautiful Appalachian
Mountains of Eastern
Kentucky.  She was raised by
her mother while her father
was enlisted in the US Army
Reserve for many years.

She spent much of her
childhood aligning herself to all
the wondrous beauty nature
had to offer.

Her first inspiration for writing
began with Beatrix Potter, it
was later flourished (with the
aid of a close friend) after
discovering the work of Anne
Sexton.

Stacy graduated high school and attended
Prestonsburg Community College (a small
technical college) for three years.  There
she diligently worked towards earning an
Associates of Applied Science in Human
Services, as well as An Associates of Arts
in generalized  studies.  

She then transferred to a private college,
Lindsey Wilson, where she earned her
Bachelor of Arts in Human
Services/Counseling.

Stacy Currently is enrolled at Capella
University, where she is well into her
second year of grad school.  She has
already earned a grad-level certificate in
Professional Counseling and is due to
graduate in December '09 with her masters
in Counseling Studies.
Upon graduation she plans to attend Eastern Kentucky University's MFA in
Creative Writing program

Stacy is currently the author of
one book, titled Anonymous
Confessions, which is available
at Amazon, Barnes and Noble,
and Borders.

The book consists of short
stories, journal entries, letters,
and much poetry.

Since the post-adolescent
production of her first book,
Stacy has honed in on her
talent for poetry-writing and

and The Beat.  

She is also the
founder/editor of the e-zine
Muse Cafe Quarterly.

Stacy is also a member of

Poets Society.

She currently has submitted
her pieces to several other
ezines and if published will
post so under the
"Publications" section.

Stacy is divorced and has a two
year old daughter. She lives and
writes in Eastern Kentucky.

She has been writing poetry since
the ripe-old-age of fourteen.  She
also is a closet collage artist and is
polishing her text-collaging skills
before she ever lets them see the
light of day.

Stacy also blogs, and from time to
time writes the occasional short
story or personal essay.

She is an avid reader and praises
the work of V.C. Andrews, John
Saul, Richard Laymon, Danielle
Steel, Alice Sebold, Judy Blume,
and Susan Goldsmith...just to
name a few.
Stacy's favorite poet is Anne Sexton.  She also enjoys the work of Sylvia
Plath, Erica Jong, Adrienne Rich, Sharon Olds, among various others.

She also collects vintage Gothic romance novels and loves to play
computer games in her free time.

For leisure, Stacy loves nature walks and finds them inspiring, she also
does aerobics daily and enjoys spending time with family and close friends.
allots a great deal of time each day for her writing.

Stacy has also self-published a collection of creative writing prompts, which is
available for download or print edition.

She has in production now her next book, which will be titled Deeper Than Pink,
and will be published by a fellow writer/friend Jason Ellis, from the UK.  The book
is expected to be published by Fall of 2009 and will be available for purchase
upon official press release.
 She also has a chapbook titled Conversing in a
Black Cadillac, which is in the production process and will be released by Winter
2009 from Leaf Garden Press.


Stacy also currently has a chapbook in production, titled A Wrinkle In My
Memory, and includes confessional pieces which concentrate on people and
events that proved to be life-changing, or merely worthy of remembrance.


She recently created the online Writing/Art magazine Muse Cafe Quarterly,
which is a nonprofit artist/writing promoting project that accepts submissions
year-round.
